Support Guide

The Support class is ENTRENCHED’s sustained-fire anchor: a high-magazine light machine gun, a spade, and the durability to sit on a berm while Riflemen cycle bolts beside you. Community guides commonly list Support around 110 HP — among the toughest infantry pools — which lets you eat chip damage that would delete a Recon. Your job is not flashy flanks; it is lane ownership. When Support holds a Conquest flag or Frontline defense sector with an Engineer nest nearby, attackers must spend tickets, grenades, and Officer artillery to move at all.

Support rewards patience and reload discipline. The LMG wins mid-range spray battles but blooms hard if you hold the trigger across open maps. Pair this page with All Classes Overview, How to Dig Trenches, and Build Fortifications so your spade work and sandbag lines reinforce each other.

Loadout fundamentals

Light machine gun: Fully automatic fire with a large magazine and noticeable recoil. Burst at chest height on mid-range lanes; never spray from the hip across Domination hills expecting Recon kills. Suppress doorways, trench mouths, and bridge crossings so Assault cannot freely peek. Reload behind cover — Support reload windows are long enough for Skirmishers to punish greed.

Spade: Dig foxholes and connecting trenches on defense phases and Conquest holds. Ideal trenches let teammates shoot out while making the reverse slope awkward for enemies who capture it. See the dedicated dig guide for bunker shapes and grenade-safe depth.

Melee: Last resort only. You win with angles, not bayonet charges.

Positioning fundamentals

Sit slightly behind the very front berm when possible — far enough that Assault SMGs do not melt you instantly, close enough that your LMG cones cover the approach. On Frontline defense, claim a lane next to Engineer HMGs so crossfires overlap. On attack, Support rarely leads the breach; follow after smoke and frags clear the first bunker, then dig a forward trench so the next wave has cover.

Conquest is Support’s best friend. Plant yourself on a contested flag with a dug ring and deny recaptures. Rotate only when the next point in the chain needs a new nest — wandering alone across open fields wastes your HP advantage.

Domination is trickier. Hills are grenade magnets. Suppress the rim from a side trench rather than standing on the glowing objective. If the lobby is pure CQC chaos, swap to Assault or Medic.

Matchups and counters

Recon is your hardest long-range counter — never silhouette above sandbags on clear weather. Skirmisher smoke can blind your lane; listen for footsteps and pre-aim trench mouths. Assault wins close if they close the gap; keep distance or fall into Engineer wire. Flamer deletes static Supports who camp the same corner twice — relocate after each flame push.

When weather fog compresses ranges, Support rises because LMG spray matters more than scoped duels. Read Weather tactics and Latest Patch.

Teamplay checklist

  1. Ask for an Engineer nest covering your blind side.
  2. Dig before the whistle on Frontline defense turns.
  3. Call magazine status so Riflemen know when the lane is soft.
  4. Prioritize suppressing revives — denying Medic windows wins tickets.
  5. Swap if the map is pure tunnel CQC with zero mid-range lanes.

Practice routine

Play five Frontline defense rounds focusing only on deaths-to-grenades and deaths-to-Recon. Lower both by digging deeper berms and refusing ridge peeks. Alternate Conquest flag holds with Nations awareness so you understand which faction uniforms you are facing in server browser filters.

Cross-read Class Tier List, Mode Tier Breakdown, Controls Cheatsheet, and Codes Hub (still no promo codes). Optional Robux shortcuts are listed on Game Passes — none replace lane discipline.

Support is the class that makes the rest of the wiki’s tactics possible. When your LMG owns a lane, Skirmisher smoke works, Medic revives stick, and Officer artillery has a front to protect.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for trench warfare and class play.

Is Support better than Assault in ENTRENCHED?

Different jobs. Support owns mid-range lanes and flags; Assault clears close bunkers. Pick based on map geometry and mode.

Should Support dig trenches every round?

On Frontline defense and Conquest holds, yes. Digging early often matters more than chasing early kills.

Why does my LMG miss so much?

Recoil blooms on long sprays. Use controlled bursts from braced positions and avoid hipfire across open fields.

Does Support work in Domination?

Yes from side trenches suppressing the hill rim. Standing on the objective itself often feeds grenades.
